The
School of Magical Practices is my dream to explore techniques,
knowledge and research of the dark world called the Psychic.
I
have spent most of my life exploring and studying this so dubbed
hidden world. Why I was so drawn to it I do not know.
Maybe
it was because my father delved very deeply into secret ritual with
his freemasonry. At least it was secret to us. As a child I had
many furtive attempts to decipher the ritual book. He was a great
example actually. He lived long enough to become a Grand Master,
initiate his protégé as the Master. Raise his voice
for womyn to be admitted into the Lodge and then he passed on.
He
also had many books by Denis Wheatley, stories about defeating dark
magicians. I liked these to but I was more curious about the world
of the darkness and who magicians were and did they really exist
other than in fantasy?
So
my life became a journey of exploring the tools of the Magician.
The teachers for these subjects were often humble people found in
very ordinary circumstances whose lives reflected the same amount
of curiosity as mine did. Lone workers, inspired by a world most
people didn’t or couldn’t see, yet totally dedicated to
the arts they adhered too.
This
quiet world of the Psychic has become more visible over the years.
Along with the visibility has come the voices against it. The opposition
to the Psychic world is often strongly emotive, fearful and extremely
dogmatic. The roots of this dual goes back through time to the burning
fields where the feminine healers were tortured at the hands of
the mighty male dogmas. The power of light versus the power of the
hidden is an age old battle. This battle has turned many great Psychics
to hide in the towers of Academia, unable to stand proudly in the
true roots of their knowledge.
The
general populace believe the Psychic is an uneducated person, as
if the only educated people exist within the towers of Academia.
These towers don’t offer the subjects of the Psychic. In fact
they say Magic and its accomplices don’t even exist. It is
often the people who loose their way in psychotic drama that actually
find the path of the Psychic. Tell them the world of the unconscious
dark mind doesn’t exist. Maybe the path of the Psychic Warrior
chooses it own.
The
School of Magical Practices is a space that allows the liberty
to explore any reality that is deemed magic. Within this space knowledge
does not have to fit into any set format or seek anyone’s approval
to be judged.
It is here
we create the labyrinth. Take any subject and there will be a certain amount of
knowledge already established. As we learn and explore the knowledge base expands.
Each participant works from the established body of knowledge until they can open
doorways for themselves and begin independent journeys of discovery.
At present
the courses offered by the School of Magical Practices are limited to my knowledge
areas.
