These days it is quite difficult to run an ongoing course for groups of people. To counteract this in 2010 I ran individual courses in Shamanic Astrology and Shamanism. These sessions were so rewarding for me as the guide as it let each person journey at their own pace in their own direction. I thank all those who participated in sharing their journeys with me. I regard this as precious time spent. I will run these sessions again next year.

SHAMANIC ASTROLOGY
1. Astrology Wheel as a Ritual Wheel-
This workshop introduces the concept of the Magicians Seat and the signs as pure energetic form made up of element and mode. We will explore the four major angles of the chart to discover your own personal ritual wheel.

2. Earth Walks
Explores the Sun Sign through the concept of what is my purpose?
The polarity of the Sun Sign illuminates our shadow self. We will explore the walk of self and purpose to the opposing side of the wheel; our shadow.

3. Trilogy of spirit/mind.
In Astrology the Sun, Mercury and Venus journey closely together.
Taking the seat of each of these three placements we learn to distinguish the relationship within of purpose, mind and desire.

4. Core Trilogy
Sun Moon Ascendant . The heart of the being and how it responds emotionally and what we allow others to see. Knowledge gained from this workshop is profound with regarded to self and relating to others.

5..Duality of Love and Achievement
Venus and Mars explain to us how our desire nature is functioning and how we manifest our desires into actions. This workshop explores sexuality, anger, jealousy and what success is to us.

6. Puppet of the Personal Planets
We have made a journey through the personal planets. We now can walk our whole personal structure. We begin to understand the concept of circuits and how they are programmed within the chart.

THE MAGIC OF TAROT-Beginning to Read. by Lyndall McQuinn

Lyndall has just completed her book on Tarot. This book is about learning to read Tarot . It is based on a seven unit course which Lyndall teaches and is a step by step approach to reading Tarot.

FROM MAGIC OF TAROT -BEGINNING TO READ,
In this course I have set out many exercises to unlock the Tarot’s mystery. The Tarot talks in her own way to each reader.
Be aware of hearing how she wants to talk to you and don’t override her due to your own need to be in control or because you think it has to be right by someone else for it to be right for you.

Take the time to create your relationship with these cards. If you are open they will find a way to talk to you. You can’t teach the magic of Tarot you can only create opportunities for the Tarot to reveal itself to you.

If a card says something to you then this is what stands. If a particular book hasn’t got that concept, then note your interpretation. Test it, see if when that card comes up for you, the concept stands.

As you become able to read more cards you can begin to look at the type of reading layouts you may want to use. This too takes time. You are better off doing a three card reading well and with total understanding than a nine card reading which leaves you confused.
You can find a layout that is already used. Many, many readers use the Celtic Cross.The important thing is, if you use one of these readings make sure the card placements speak to you.

Reading is like telling a story which is why I have had you walking and talking journeys. One card flows into the next. This is why we need to know how the reading is moving: from one card placement to the next card.

You may though have times when readings make no sense. Allow yourself time to see what the Tarot is trying to say.
In these situations you can pull extra cards to clarify the card you can’t comprehend. Be very clear what that card is about.
You can leave the reading sitting and come back and relook at it.

Or just pack up your cards and release the meaning to the universe. It may come back to you via some other medium, for example a dream.

SHAMANISM COURSES:
Shamanism is a journey that explores the inner concepts of mind spaces. The shaman explores many levels of reality and makes no judgement s about any of them. They exist in that moment. What the mind perceives is a reality for the shaman. However there is also the awareness that all situations are purely a perception of the viewer. Changes can be made by shifting the energy caught up in the perception.

Shamanism is a journey that unfolds within us over a period of time. Every journey is unique and through exercises our perception of life becomes broader and more detailed at the same time. The shamans finds ways to be in any space that is presented and when to interact with the energetic movement and when to step out.

Lyndall offers courses in Shamanism.
Course 1 : Tools for the Shaman
Course 2: The Inner Terrain.

Both courses run for 7 weeks and are offered as workshops or as an ongoing individual program- consisting of 7 ongoing fortnightly sessions.
Cost of workshops is $75
Cost of individual program is $350. Session 1 is $80 and then $45 per session thereafter.
